Vito Bonventre

Vito Bonventre (1875 – July 15, 1930) was a New York mobster involved in bootlegging with Brooklyn mobster Cola Schiro throughout the Prohibition era.
During the early months of the Castellammarese War, Bonventre became a target as the Brooklyn-based Castellammarese gang began to threaten Joe "the Boss" Masseria's domination over Italian organized crime. On July 15, 1930, Bonventre was gunned down by Masseria gunmen outside his garage.
Bonventre is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, Queens.
==In popular culture==
A second cousin of mob boss Joseph Bonanno, Bonventre was portrayed by John Vamvas in the 1999 television movie ''Bonanno: A Godfather's Story''.
